heroine journey; my description of archetypal initiation

The 12 steps of your Heroine's journey;

Your departure;

The mythic call, or the call to adventure/ emotion wells up intensely as the omens for change inspire a quest, outside the known sense of identity, an inner fire burns towards an irresistible yet terrifyingly mysterious horizon.

Refusal of the call/ here the neurotic resistance to change manifests as a denial of the deepest self inspiration, rejection of the personal legend itself, the more extreme the heroine, the more self destructive is the refusal of the call.

Supernatural guidance/ once the heroine finally relinquishes control, a guardian being from beyond this lifetime makes their presence known, and instructs the heroine with cryptic signals to awaken self empowerment.

The Crossing of the First Threshold/ the known universe disappears as the heroine enters the utterly flamboyant and mythical arena of her multidimensional destiny.

The belly of the Whale or The dark Tunnel/ similar to the monstruous cocoon metamorphosis of the butterfly, this part of the journey involves the death of the known self, and the transmutation of death into rebirth of a new identity. Needed thus is the courage to face the pain-body, the demons and the darkest fears of the ancient shadow. 

Your Initiation

The Road of trials or "fears in 3`s"/ now there is no turning back, one must face the challenges of the awakened self; here is where we discover why we fall, to learn to get back up again.

The meeting with the Goddess/ crowned with unconditional love, emanating a universal light of beauty and equilibrium, the goddess is the healing reconciliation and passion of heroine.

Feminine Temptress/ the dark side of the goddess must also be experienced, here where the temptations of excess, sensuality in every aspect, inner and outer, this is the extreme darkness of the new moon, when the heroine encounters her occult sense of feminity.

Atonement with the Father/ similar to luke skywalker having to face darth vader as his ultimate ascension to jedi knight; this is the moment when the masculine power of creativity, supreme authority and rationality is confronted; this is facing the archetype of the life and death giving power of the father. For the personal legend`s alchemy to take place, the heroine is symbolically killed by the supreme power, and surrenders completely to the illusion of separation, in material and spiritual terms, after this purification, a new inner priestess and warrior may rise from the ashes.

Apotheosis/ this is the ultimate ascension, the act of rendering sacred (the sacrifice) is rewarded with a sublime and transcendental enlightenment; the experience of divine love beyond all illusions, the unconditional surrendering to the higher self, angelic dimensions of identity; the duality is dissolved and bliss is all encompassing.

The treasure or ultimate boon/ the heroine acheives the dream of her journey, everything that was experienced during the voyage was a preparation for the hidden treasure, a purification of all unnecessary mental illusions and resistances to truth and reality; the heroine if free, bathing in the wisdom and love of the holy grail.

Your Return

Refusal of the Return/ from cloud number 9 the heroine contemplates light years away, the patterns of chaos in the world, the pain and suffering of living in illusion, she remembers where she came from, and she refuses to return.

The Magic flight/ a dangerous escape is provoked by a threat, and the treasure must be protected. The heroine is guided by the spirits and angels beyond her control, she impulsively returns guarding the treasure with her life; thus the quest to return begins.

Rescue from without/ the heroine is hurt, and wounded from her perilous adventure, the spirit guides are there to save her when all her strength is gone, when her individual self is depleted and she must merge with the higher forces and elements of her guardian angel. this is where relationships with other beings become the clarity and source of endurance to return the treasure to humanity.

The Crossing of the return threshold/ from outer regions of mythological and subliminal experiences, the heroine transposes the boundaries between worlds and is teleported to her earthly birthplace, with a transfigured consciousness, a treasure and a highly sensitive and psychic emotional body; the discrepancy between the subliminal frequencies of awareness experienced on the quest, and the carbon based slow manifestation speed is painful and difficult to resolve.. how to share the treasure, open the heart lotus to the world?

Master of two world/ the heroine resolves her inner conflict and explodes into incandescent stellar beingness, her form is catalyzed into the avatar level of presence and she becomes a star in the world, the treasure is shared like a solar blessing to the whole.

Freedom to live/ conquered the fear of death, conquered the heart of darkness and destruction, the illusion of self dissolves into pure light and love, a remembrance of the essential universal origin of life, the power to manifest thought in patterns of masterful harmony, the consciousness of perpetual change and cosmic evolution; the heroine self actualizes and inspires others through her perceptual eloquence and generosity, through the manifest architecture of her dreams....

this is my intrepretation of the heroine journey; it seems that on a microcosmic scale all steps of the quest are constantly fluctuating through the linear seconds of time, through the constant palpitations of our heart; i remember the journey in the collective unconscious as a whole starsteed process; happening simultaneously in several dimensions, or incarnations of self...

in every pattern physical reality, the greater cycles immerge in coded mathematical order, endlessly circulating through the veins of all beings, we all collectively experience as if a graphic fractal treasure, the results of our choices equations.

thus the fractal of the journey is for us heroines of the new world!
